| Anyone know where the hell to get some shackles in Utah county?? I have checked all of the auto parts stores (Auto Zone, Checker, Napa, etc.) and nobody seems to carry them. I finally bought a tow strap (Cal Ranch special), and a blank receiver hitch but I can't seem to find shackles anywhere. I'm about ready to just buy some off of Amazon or something. Thoughts?? |

| It seems like buying "ART" supplies. If you buy paper it is reasonably priced. If you buy the same paper at an art supply store you pay triple. The shackles farmers buy seem to be reasonably priced, if you shop at an off-road place you might pay triple. How much was your receiver hitch? I need one of those. Cal Ranch should be able to get the shackles if they don't have them in stock??? I need to get a few more shackles too I'm down to one (i had one stolen off my bumper in Moab) I got a tip that you carry some channel locks and crank them down so you can't loosen them with your hands. That will prevent any casual thievery (or put them inside the truck ). _________________ brett

| I've bought some shakles at Cal Ranch here in Tooele, and they actually have a pretty big selection in stock. I know Home Depot also carries them but not sure if they have the bigger ones. |

| They have some heavy duty shackles at Smith and Edwards, seems like they are pretty cheap too. It is a little out of the way for most of you guys though, but it is another option. |

Forum rules prohibit.... I'm totally messin' with ya. I think people should feel comfortable promoting their products/services on here. If it gets out of hand we can all vote on some rules or something. Keeping it light is one of the biggest pluses of this group IMO. In fact I'd like to see a little more self promotion on here from "vendors". _________________ brett
