| Found some relatively cheap shaft clamps on Mcmastercarr. They were about $10 a piece. I did have to drill and tap for the stud, but when you work in a machine shop that's not a problem. IMG_0120 by cnckart, on Flickr I am using an eye nut to run a cable lock through. The hi lift won't be mounted permanantly, so this should work well to keep it in place in parking lots in Moab and such. | We need to have an electrical tape night. I took mine off when I was servicing my jack and forgot to add it again. Between the squeaking shocks and jack rattle I sound like I'm in a Heep (lol)
Looks nice Brad, better than my chain-link fence parts. _________________ brett

| Thanks Brett! Nothing wrong with yours it works fine. We do need to do a wrench/tape night. I still have that skid for you, and we should do something about your squeaks, Your going to give the FJ a bad name! |

| I contacted Kurt from here (cruiser outfitters) and we're going to set up a time to look at those babies next time I can get down to Sandy at Cruiser Outfitters. He said there are a couple of things that might cause rubbing, but none of them are common. I'm praying I haven't bent anything down there, I don't feel like I'm THAT hard on my truck.
p.s. I haven't tried it or anything but anybody looking to do this mod should probably not google "shaft clamps" just go to McMaster Carr directly. lol _________________ brett

| I'm doing the rattle, too. Brad has a fix.... I just need to figure out a good time to fix it. Let's get a wrench night scheduled! |
